Alphabetical List of Award Recipients

The Silver Buffalo Award is bestowed upon those who give truly noteworthy and extraordinary service to youth at the national level. This award, Scouting's highest commendation, recognizes the invaluable contributions that outstanding American men and women render to youth.

The Silver Antelope Award is presented upon action of the Regional Executive Board of one of the BSA's four Regions for service to youth within the Region or for outstanding longtime service to youth by a registered Scouter residing within that Region.

The Sycamore District is proud to have had one of our Scouters receive these awards. Charles Walneck received the Silver Antelope Award in 2002 and the Silver Buffalo Award in 2009. click here to read the press release on the BSA website

The Silver Beaver Award is is presented for distinguished service to young people within the Blackhawk Area Council. Recipients of this award are registered adult leaders who have made an impact on the lives of youth through service given to the council. Click here to nominate someone.
