The monthly Roundtable meetings are a great way to stay informed about
things that are happening in both the Sycamore District and the Council.
They are held on the second Thursday of every month with the exception
of July. Normally, we meet at 7:15 pm at the Grace Lutheran Church in
Woodstock, but always check the Sycamore district website to verify the
place and time.
Roundtable is also a great way to meet new Scouters, keep in touch with
those you know, and pick up your unit's monthly mail from the District
and Council. We strongly encourage each unit to send at least one
representative to Roundtable each month to bring back news that will
benefit everyone.
Next Roundtable Highlights
After an initial joint session, the
meeting breaks into separate sessions for Cub Scout leaders
and Boy Scout leaders.
Cub Scout Roundtable provides supplemental training for volunteers at
the pack level. Roundtables give volunteers examples for pack and den
meetings; information on policy, events, and training opportunities;
ideas for crafts, games, and ceremonies; and an opportunity to share
experiences and enjoy fun and fellowship.
These meetings help volunteers provide a stronger program for Cub
Scouts. Activities, songs and games are presented for the themes for you
to take back to your pack. There are activities for all leaders and
parents in the pack. Special sessions are offered for Cubmasters and
Committee Members on how to help your pack grow and stay healthy.
Each month at Boy Scout Roundtable, there are four or five presentations
relating to different Scouting topics that are of interest to all adult
leaders that represent Boy Scout Troops, Venturing Crews, and Varsity
Teams.
